I always like the start of a new season, I always find myself the most motivated, eager to work and blog and start projects. I think its the idea of something coming to an end. It comes with new possibilities, new goals and things to look forward to and focus on. A new dynamic in the world as people are gearing up ready for it to get colder.
Shops start changing, as they start bringing in jumpers and fluffy socks and as window displays start putting the Christmas decorations up. I love that feeling of change in the world collectively as everyone prepares for the change.
Here is a list of a few things to think about:
– Reflection of your summer
– Your goals for the Autumn
– Autumn wish list
– Favorite Autumn clothing
– Favorite comfort foods
Autumn clothes are my favourite! Fluffy jumpers, warm socks, the range of accessories to go with day/night outfits….
The information below will go into detail about what type of Autumn you are and what colours work best for you so you’ll have no problems choosing those fabulous outfits!
Soft Autumn
Eyes: Light brown, soft hazel, blue, mixed blue, grey-green
Hair: Golden blonde to medium brown, soft auburn
Skin: Ivory, neutral beige, olive and also brown
You look your best in monochromatic and neutral colour combinations, this is because your coloring doesn’t need a lot of colour. Too vivid and too deep colours will ‘tip over’ your look.
Look for colours like – Olive green, Salmon pink, Mahogany
Warm Autumn
Eyes: Medium brown or lighter, olive green, dark hazel
Hair: Medium golden brown, medium chestnut, rich and warm red, auburn, deep golden brown
Skin: Bronze, golden beige, ivory, warm beige, (may have freckles)
Compared to clear, soft, deep and light, a warm doesn’t flow into a cooler/warmer group. However an Autumn’s colour palette may overlap with a spring and vice versa. So your colour palette is strictly warm, which means you will more than likely have difficulties wearing colours with cool/bluish undertones.
Look for colours like – Pumpkin, Jade, Rust
Deep Autumn
Eyes: Dark brown, black-brown, dark hazel, dark green, and sometimes a deep shade of blue.
Hair: Black-brown, dark to deep chestnut, medium brown
Skin: Bronze, black, olive, ivory, golden beige
Some of your best colours are dark, such as black, royal purple and dark reds. Your coloring needs dark + vivid colours as light pastels make you look washed out.
Depending on your undertones, if you’re warm you look fantastic in rich, golden colours such as tomato red and terracotta. If you’re cool, your coloring looks amazing in true colours such as true red and fuchsia.
